SF CUE Strike Vote Results and Solidarity with the Berkeley CUE Strike

Dear UCSF clerical co-worker:

The results are in: last night CUE members tallied the SF strike vote ballots, and 94% of voters voted to authorize a clerical strike at UCSF. It's clear: clericals at UCSF are fed up with UC's refusal to bargain fairly.

The SF CUE local executive board will consult with the statewide bargaining team concerning the timing for a strike at UCSF. Since we're required by law to give a 10-day notice before we strike, we WON'T be striking with Berkeley/OP CUE next week, August 26 - 28. But along with CUE members at UC campuses across the state, we WILL be rallying in support of the Berkeley strike!

Please request to take vacation time to join us for two events on Wednesday:

• COME to the CUE SOLIDARITY RALLY (Word file) on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 28 at NOON, Parnassus Campus, in front of the Medical Sciences Building, 513 Parnassus Ave. We'll have music, CUE t-shirts, noisemakers, and we'll be sending our message of support LOUD AND CLEAR!
• Use your vacation time to join our CARAVAN TO THE BERKELEY PICKET LINE! Join us as we:
  • MEET at the Noon Parnassus Rally
  • Take BART to the 12th St. Oakland station
  • MEET the Berkeley/OP strikers at 2:00 at Frank Ogawa Plaza, 14th and Broadway in Oakland
  • MARCH at 2:30 to 11th and Franklin for a rally at the UC Office of the President.
