Directions to Shelter Pointe from Interstate 5

From Interstate 5 freeway South-bound, exit at Rosecrans, (209). Continue straight for three miles to a left on Shelter Island Drive. Follow the road as it bends to the right. The resort occupies 11 acres at the tip of the island. Look for the large sign just past the tennis courts.

Directions to Shelter Pointe from Lindbergh Field

From Lindbergh Field, turn right on N. Harbor Drive. Follow straight to Scott St. and turn left on Scott St. Turn left on Shelter Island Drive and follow the road as it bends to the right. The resort occupies 11 acres at the tip of the island. Look for the large sign just past the tennis courts.

Location of the Meeting

We will be meeting in the Sociology Department conference room in the Social Science Building Room 101. This is a dynamic map of the main UCSD campus (this printable map of the main UCSD campus is a little outdated and has some roads listed as closed that are actually open) and a map for parking on campus. Parking is FREE on campus on the weekends.

Directions from the Radisson to the Sociology Department

Exit the hotel and travel west on Holiday Court. At the light turn right onto Villa La Jolla Drive and immediately go into the left hand turning lane, make a left onto La Jolla Village Drive traveling west. La Jolla Village Drive curves around and turns into North Torrey Pines Road. Turn right onto Pangea Drive. Park in the parking structure on your left. Continue walking up Pangea Drive/Thurgood Marshall Lane across Scholars Drive. You will pass student apartments on the right and IR/PS on the left, the Social Science Building will be directly in front of you. The room is on the first floor.

A.1. That CUE agree to pay K. Hurley according to the terms of her expired contract, for any additional time required to conclude the Fact Finding process for Reopener Bargaining. (Linda)

2. That the CUE Board approve the expense of creating and mailing a CD copy of Hurley's Compensation Report/Study for each Local. Each Local could then copy or reproduce as they wish until a comprehensive campaign plan is worked out by CUE.-(Linda)

B. Motion: 1/6/05 UCSF arbitration on meaning of layoff language (this is day #3; days and 2 took place in October and November) COST: $156 lost time + lunch (Margy)

1/10/05 UCSF to testify at a post deprivation hearing COST: $78 lost time (Margy)

1/11/05 UCSC to attend a Labor/Management meeting on work being moved out of the clerical bargaining unit COST: $156 lost time + $60 for rental car + lunch (Margy)

1/25/05 UCSC to attend a Labor/Management meeting on a proposed Temporary Assistance Pool COST: $156 lost time + $60 for rental car + lunch (Margy)

2/3/05 UCSD to be the CUE advocate in an arbitration COST: $100 airfare (Oakland to SD), $100 for hotel, food, $156 lost time (Margy)

2/4/05 to travel from SD to UCSB (to do a stewards training at UCSB on Sat 2/5/05) COST: $40 train to SB, $156 lost time, food, $100 for hotel, on 2/5/05: $200 airfare (SB to SF) (Margy)

C. Motion: That Kathleen Hurley and Peter Donohue conduct analysis of the market surveys and DOE contract and financial statements of LBL to provide for CUE's bargaining team for the Lab. The purpose of this analysis is to further develop the proposals presented by CUE to the Lab management. (Amatullah)
