Voting Instructions

April 9, 2003

These are the voting instructions for the vote on the mediator's proposal.

1. There are two questions on which you should vote:

   QUESTION #1 -- whether to accept/reject the mediator's proposal;

   QUESTION #2 -- which of two offered wage packages you would prefer.

2. After you vote on both QUESTION #1 and QUESTION #2, please fold the ballot and place it in the smaller of the two enclosed envelopes. The envelope says "BALLOT" on the outside.
3. Next, place the smaller envelope inside the larger envelope, which is pre-addressed (and postage paid) to CUE's statewide office.
4. Next, you MUST sign and print your name on the outside of this larger envelope -- otherwise your vote will not count because we will not know if you are a member or not.
5. Seal the larger envelope.
6. Mail it in time to for it to be received at the Berkeley address by April 30, 2003.
