Mediated: Parking

1. GENERAL PROVISIONS
   1. The University shall provide to Clerical unit employees parking and parking-related services at each campus or the Laboratory to the same extent and under the same conditions as normally provided for other University staff employees at the employee's location.
   2. It is understood and agreed that parking spaces designated for employees may from time to time be eliminated or reassigned due to construction, special events, and/or operational needs of the University.
2. PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION RATES FOR FISCAL YEARS 2002-03 AND 2003-04
   1. For Fiscal Year 2002-03, the University, upon ratification by both parties, will implement parking and transportation rates at each location as set forth in the amounts and dates identified in Appendix _____. Increases for parking and transportation rates will be effective April 1, 2003. Payments for parking and transportation increases will be deducted from employee salaries following ratification.
   2. For Fiscal Year 2003-04, parking and transportation rates will be implemented in the amounts and dates identified in Appendix _______. With regard to any location(s) that do not have parking and transportation rate increases over the 2002-03 rates set forth in Appendix ____, any increase in parking and transportation rates shall not exceed $5.00 per clerical employee per month.
   3. For Fiscal Year 2004-05, the University and CUE agree that parking and transportation rates will be bargained in re-opener bargaining according to the Duration Article. When parking is reopened, parking and transportation rates will remain in effect until agreement is reached through negotiations or the exhaustion of the HEERA impasse procedures.
