CUE and other UC unions were represented at a Senate Committee Hearing on Higher Education hosted by State Senator Jackie Speier on October 5, 2005 in Riverside. Many members took time off of their UC jobs to attend this hearing and to testify to the Senate Committee. Stephanie Dorton from Berkeley testified on behalf of CUE.
