UC Workers Fight for Justice

Thousands of UCSF workers from all union backgrounds joined together to protest the unfair treatment and substandard wages inflicted on them by UC management. Workers have been without wage increases for over three years and many others have faced cutbacks, speed-ups and harassment. This is coming at the same time that UC management has taken millions in bonuses and after a failed UC-Stanford privatization merger scam that cost over $200 million. Some UC workers must work two jobs and some even are qualified for welfare as a result of the substandard wages.

The Labor Video Project produced this 15-minute video of the protest, which highlights the real view of workers who face this assault.
