AFSCME will have a one-day strike on Thursday, April 14, 2005. CUE supports this action, and sent this letter as legal notification to UC that CUE-represented workers may exercise their legal right to honor the picket lines. NOTICE OF INTENT TO HONOR PICKET LINES
The COALITION OF UNIVERSITY EMPLOYEES hereby serves NOTICE of its intention to honor the picket lines of AFSCME Local 3299 for a period of 24 hours at all locations of the University of California which employ clerical and allied service workers represented by CUE, in accordance with the rights of CUE and CUE-represented employees guaranteed by the Higher Education Employer-Employee Relations Act (HEERA), Government Code sections 3565, 3568, 3570, and the United States and California Constitutions.
Locations:
All facilities of the University of California which employ clerical and allied service workers represented by CUE.
Duration:
Thursday, April 14, 2005, 12:00 a.m. through 11:59 p.m.
NOTICE OF UNCONDITIONAL RETURN TO WORK
CUE, on behalf of all employees who honor picket lines as provided in this NOTICE hereby provides notice that all such employees will return to their positions and work at their regularly scheduled hours on April 15, 2005, starting at 12:00 am.
