Dear CUE Member,
On July 27 the nomination period closed for Statewide Officer elections. Normally members would, by now, have received election materials.
However, there has been a challenge made to the eligibility of one of the candidates. The Election Committee has discussed the matter extensively, and presented their findings to the Statewide Executive Board at their August 19 meeting.
It was the decision of the Statewide Executive Board to consult with our attorney regarding the candidate's eligibility. We expect to have this matter resolved promptly, in a manner that will allow the election process to resume quickly.
A final adjusted election schedule should be posted to the CUE website by August 25. We will keep you updated on our progress.
