CUE has been notified by UC of its intentions to reactivate the START
(Staff and Academic Reduction in Time) Program. You may have already seen some
information about the program that UC has sent out to date.

Our Bargaining Team has requested more information from UC about the
program and will be negotiating with UC officials in the next few days. In the
meantime, we'd like to hear from you. Your responses to the START survey will
be very helpful to the CUE bargaining team in their efforts to represent the
employees in the Clerical unit.
We will be sending out some materials on the pros and cons of the
program and ask that you complete a quick survey at the link below. The survey
will help us to make a recommendation to the state wide executive board
