Dear CUE Member,
The Coalition of University Employees will hold elections for Statewide Officers in the near future.
The positions to be filled are Statewide President, Treasurer, Secretary, Chief Steward, and two Vice Presidents (one from Northern CA, and one from Southern CA). These officers serve a two-year term and sit on the Statewide Executive Board. In addition, three Trustees will also be elected.
A brief description of the duties of each position can be found in Section V of the CUE Constitution on the CUE website. The election process is described in Section VI and Appendix A of that document.
Nominations for candidates will open on June 16, 2006, and must be received before 5 PM on July 1, 2006.
Nominations may be submitted in two ways:
A nominee must be a CUE member in good standing. Nominees will be contacted by the election committee who will confirm that the nomination is accepted before the individual will be considered a candidate. It is suggested that nominations include current contact information for both the nominator and the nominee.
