CUE Statewide will be holding elections for all state officers and trustees. these positions are president, treasurer, secretary, southern vice-president, northern vice president, chief steward, and three trustees. Officers sit on the state executive board and serve a two-year term. Trustees are not executive board positions, nor are they voting positions.
We are requesting volunteers to serve on the election committee. This is a limited time commitment and a good way to serve for a brief time in a very important role. It is a way to learn more about the union, its internal operations and to meet members from around the state.
Please read the elections sections of the CUE statewide constitution (Article 6 and Appendix A) for a brief overview of the process. You may contact Linda Moser if you have questions or want to volunteer. We must begin the election by May 31, but will accept volunteers through June 14.
