Nominations for CUE Statewide Elected Officers open on Saturday, May 31, 2008
Nominations for statewide officers will open on May 31, 2008. Members in good
standing may nominate themselves or other members in good standing for the
following offices:
- President
- Northern Vice President (nominee must be a member at one of the following
campuses: UC Santa Cruz, UC San Francisco, UC Berkeley, UCOP, Lawrence Berkeley
National Lab, UC Davis or UC Merced)
- Southern Vice President (nominee must be a member at one of the following
campuses: UC San Diego, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UC Los Angeles or UC Santa
Barbara)
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Chief Steward
- Trustee (3 positions)
Nominations may be made by email or fax. When sending your information, please
include your name, campus and contact information as well as the name of the
person you are nominating and the office you are nominating him/her for. You
may make more than one nomination. Nominations are subject to verification.
You will receive confirmation email to confirm receipt of your nomination. We
are in the process of securing a statewide election committee. Once that
committee is in place, you can contact them if you do not receive confirmation
in a timely manner. NOTE: failure to leave correct contact information could
jeopardize your nomination(s).

out on July 21st and must be received by mail by August 23rd . They will be
counted on August 25th. The newly elected officers will begin their terms on

Nominees may submit a written statement to be included in the ballot packet.
Instructions relating to balloting problems will be posted on the web and given
from the elections committee.
