Hello to All,
On Thursday, May 13, 2010, Annabelle Song-Hill, the state-appointed mediator, certified CUE and UC to PERB to go to Fact-Finding.
This is the result of CUE and UC not reaching an agreement on a new contract during the mediation sessions.
In the certification, the mediator has also indicated CUE and UC have agreed to return for a mediation session after Fact-Finding before imposition of its final offer during contract negotiations by the University.
The next step is the selection of the three member fact-finding panel and certification of the panel by PERB.
Both CUE and UC will have one representative on the panel, and PERB will designate a neutral party.
Once the dates for the Fact-Finding hearing are set, we will notify the CUE jurisdiction.
