Arbitrator's wage findings due: CUE press conference on 2-17-05

A fact-finding report written by neutral fact-finder and well respected arbitrator Gerald R. McKay will be released to the public on Thursday, February 17. It will answer many questions regarding UC's substandard and unfair pay for clerical employees, including the following:

• Does UC Really Divert Money Earmarked for Clerical Wages to Other Purposes?
• Does UC Really Make a Huge Profit Every Year At the Expense of Its Employees?
• Does UC Really Pay Its Clericals Far Less Than CSU And Comparable Employers?

McKay's findings will be surprising to the UC community, the Legislature, the Governor's office and the people of California -- to anyone who has believed UC's claim that it would pay fair wages if it could.
