Article 23: Parking
A. GENERAL PROVISIONS
- The University shall provide to Clerical unit employees parking and parking-related services at each campus or the Laboratory to the same extent and under the same conditions as normally provided for other University staff employees at the employee's location.
- It is understood and agreed that parking spaces designated for employees may from time to time be eliminated or reassigned due to construction, special events, and/or operational needs of the University.
B. PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION RATES
- For Fiscal Year 2005-06, the University, upon ratification by both parties, will implement parking and transportation rates at each location as set forth in the amounts and dates identified in Appendix H. Increases for parking and transportation rates will be effective the first of the month following ratification of the Agreement.
C. MEET AND DISCUSS PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION RATE-CHANGES.
- At least forty-five (45) calendar days prior to a campus' or Laboratory's implementation of new or changed parking or transportation fees to be charged to employees of this unit, the University shall inform CUE of its intent to establish or change parking charges.
- The University and CUE agree to meet on a systemwide basis in April 2006 to discuss alternatives to the current parking rates structure and other parking related issues.
