The University will maintain local catastrophic leave programs for members of the Clerical and Allied Services Unit.
At every campus/hospital/Laboratory where a catastrophic leave sharing plan is currently in effect, the plan shall remain in effect for employees eligible under established campus/hospital/Laboratory guidelines. Clerical employees shall be eligible to participate fully in these plans as recipients and donors, consistent with local campus guidelines.
Eligibility for purposes of this article shall mean employees eligible to accrue or use vacation time. When a location proposes to implement or to change the local catastrophic leave program with respect to clericals, it shall provide notice and upon written request from CUE, meet and discuss the proposal.
