In a new wage offer, UC has proposed to eliminate merit increases for
clericals for at least the period of October 1999 to October 2001. The
UC proposal would take away merit increases earned by approximately 60%
of clericals -- that is, over 10,000 workers -- at the University.
Contact CUE at your local campus to join the mobilization to protect
our merit increases. We need your support to get a contract that wins
fair pay for all UC clericals.
